  5. This screen allows you to select the type of interface you wish to
  6. use with the scanner.  If you select a parallel interface you will 
  7. need to have a bi-directional parallel port.
  8. *confirm
  9. Confirm that the type of interface you have selected is correct.  
  10. Press the Y key if correct.  Press the N key or the ESC key to 
  11. select a different interface.
  12. *bidi
  13. This screen shows a list of the parallel ports installed in your 
  14. computer.  If the port you wish to use to interface the scanner is 
  15. not shown as a parallel bidirectional port, you will need to install 
  16. a bidirectional board in your computer.
  17. *bidinot
  18. The port you have selected is not a parallel bidirectional port.  If 
  19. you wish, this install utility can show the jumper configuration to 
  20. install an EPSON bidirectional parallel port.
  21. *bidibad
  22. The port you have selected is not a parallel bidirectional port.  
  23. You can not use this port to interface your scanner.
  24. *bidinotad
  25. This is not a valid port for a bidirectional parallel board.
  26. *bidiboard
  27. This diagram shows the jumper configuration for a bidirectional 
  28. parallel board.  Set the jumpers as shown and install the board in 
  29. your computer.
  30. *drive
  31. Enter the target drive for the scanner driver.
  32. *disk
  33. Verify that you have selected the correct floppy disk.
  34. *alter
  35. The install utility can make automatic changes to the CONFIG.SYS 
  36. file on the disk you wish to install the scanner driver on.  Confirm 
  37. that you wish these automatic changes to be made.
  38. *aspinot
  39. You can not install the ASPI interface version of the device driver 
  40. until you have installed the ASPI device driver.
  41. *camnot
  42. You can not install the CAM interface version of the device driver 
  43. until you have installed the CAM device driver.
  44. *complete
  45. The installation process is complete.  You will need to reboot your 
  46. computer with CTRL, ALT and DEL before DOS will install your scanner 
  47. device driver.
